BELIEVE IN YOURSELF

So I was supposed to have posted this much earlier before now but my day has been stressful. Hope yours wasn't as stressful as mine? I will be talking about a simple topic today, "BELIEVE IN YOURSELF". I want to pass my WAEC and UTME once, I want to graduate from the university with first class honors, I want to do this and that. You have lots of great positive goals you want to accomplish, alongside, there is this awkward tinning voice asking you if you can actually achieve all of it, asking whether you are ready for the stress attached to it but not telling you the benefit of the end product. It happens to virtually everyone.
It can often be hard to believe in yourself, especially when you feel like you have nothing to offer or you are unworthy of some things. But you are worthy and you are capable. If you are having trouble seeing all the amazing things that you can do to start believing in yourself, you can take stock of what you have accomplished, the things you've failed to accomplish and set goals, you can make new friends and look for opportunities to use your skills, or you can take good care of yourself to build your confidence. Keep reading to learn more about how to believe in yourself.
The first method is to NURTURE POSITIVE VIEWS, how do you nurture positive views?
  1. Make a list of your past accomplishments: Writing out a list of your past accomplishments will help you  begin to believe in yourself. Sit down  and make a list of all the things that you feel you have excelled at during different point in your life. Even the most minor thing count.
  2. Talk to people who love you: If you are finding it difficult to see all the wonderful things about yourself, you can always talk to someone who loves you. Sometimes we have difficulty seeing the best things about ourselves, but the people who really love us will never struggle to see those things. I have a good friend, my best friend at that, he happens to be one blunt guy that says things exactly the way they are irrespective of who you are, he was one of the people that encouraged me to carry on with the operating of this blog but not until after he outlined all the things I needed to know and some of the things I tend to loss and gain in the process. You have people like this around you, you just have to talk to them and be free with them.
  3. Don't try to please others: It may be difficult to believe in yourself if you are constantly trying to please others, it is true that some of us try to please others so as not to hurt them, but dear if pleasing them will hurt you instead then don't, get your happiness first
  4. Set realistic goals: setting realistic goals will help you to believe in yourself and your ability to actually accomplish things. Don't set goals that you won't end up accomplishing that can be very discouraging.
  5. Reflect at the end of each day: self-reflection is an important component of self-improvement. It helps you to take stock of what you are doing well and the things you need to adjust in. Take a few minute at the end of each day to reflect on your experiences. If you have a day where you don't accomplish as much as you hoped you would, try to learn what you can from the situation in order to avoid repeating any mistakes you might have made.
  6. Be persistent: Sometimes we feel like giving up because failure is a possibility, but it is perfectly natural to struggle with something the first time you do it. Instead of blaming yourself  for doing something wrong, give yourself some kudos and try it again. Some of the most successful innovators didn't get it right just the first time, they tried and tried before they actually achieved success.                                Start believing in yourself today and you will be surprised at the number of things you can achieve. I hope you enjoyed this article? have a wonderful night rest and I love you!!!

LET GO OF THE PAST

Have you ever had any experience that made you ask questions like "why me?", "why is this happening to me now?", "why am I going through pains as severe as this?" etc. Well this is life and things don't go according to our plans or desires, and when something negative happens, we are moved, shattered, upset and sometimes even resentful to a point of pain and suffering. MY FUTURE

So I sit to ponder on what the future holds for me even after rounding up my Degree Program. I sit to imagine what the next step will be. I sit to think of where am coming from, where I am and where am heading to. I sit to think of what determines my future, and I realized that; My past doesn't determine my future. My background doesn't determine my future. My academic achievements doesn't determine my future. My friends neither the company I keep determines my future. My social life doesn't determine my future. Situations that arises both in the past , and present doesn't determine my future My worldly possessions and achievements doesn't determine my future. My beauty nor brain does not determine my future. Fame and wealth does not and will never determine my future. What people say or what will people say does not determine my future.   So then I thought, what really determines my future? And then I realized that; My future is determined by th...
