STAND FOR SOMETHING

There is a popular saying "If you don't stand for something, you will fall for anything". Some times we ask someone where do you stand on that issue, and he is like "they have said it all, it is okay like that". Whereas in his mind he thinks so and so, obviously different from what the final conclusion was, leaving him in a situation of inconsistency. What actually stopped him from expressing his mind as well? If you really stand for what you think you stand for you shouldn't be afraid to say it, and you should be able to do the following:

  • SPEAK FOR WHAT YOU STAND FOR: Never should you keep quiet about what you stand for because you lack courage to speak out about it. Many people tend to wait cautiously to see if it is safe before they say their views on issues, why should this be so? If you are standing for what is right and what will be  beneficial to everyone around then you shouldn't think twice before you speak for it, ofcourse, there will be plenty of opponents but if you but if you know what you are saying and you enlighten them on the benefits some of them might come in terms with your idea.
  • STRIVE FOR WHAT YOU STAND FOR: Even after speaking out for what you stand for, you shouldn't stop there, you should also earnestly and energetically strive for its acceptance and accomplishment. Something that is right can never be established without conflict, because everyone can not agree unanimously to an idea. But if you believe in what you stand for you will fight for it.
  • SUFFER FOR WHAT YOU STAND FOR: Fear of causing offence, being misunderstood or spoken against will not deter you when deep down in your heart you stand for something right and worthwhile. If you are not willing to suffer personal ease, time, friendship, reputation, money and even your job at worst for what you stand for then you are only fooling yourself by thinking you stand for it.
Stand for something today and let people know you for what you actually stand for but make it a positive standing oooo. Happy Sunday and have a wonderful week ahead. Don't forget that Olamide loves you.

SELF-FORGIVENESS

And so the day started pretty awkward for me, I did something I wasn't supposed to do in the first place. I've gotten over it and life goes on. We all make mistakes and at times we spend so much time putting blame on others and ourselves. Learn to forgive yourself and move on. To be able to forgive yourself shows how strong your inner man is, and it shouldn't be hard for you to forgive others as well. The truth is that, in life at times, we tend to make some decisions without thinking twice what the repercussion will be and it after effect, not until we've done and realized  we've made a big mistake. take blame for your actions, don't ever, I repeat, don't ever blame others for your actions. It is true that some people might have done or say some things to you that might have warranted your decision to take such action(s), even still you take about 80% of the blame, but my dear, it's okay to retrace your steps, it's okay to begin on a new slat...

DISCOVERING YOURSELF

I was thinking, should I go ahead with this plan? How far can I go? Is it worth it? etc.... With lots of support from a dear friend I decided to push forward my skill in writing, more so because I find it easier to put my emotions in paper or perhaps keep quiet about it than telling anyone,,, Strange? Nah,,,, some people are just like that. I was thinking of what my first write-up should be and I was able to come up with this after all, I titled it  "DISCOVERING YOURSELF". To discover yourself, you need to learn about yourself first. You need to find your real self. this allow you to become self sufficient and be independent. Discovering yourself is not easy but it's worth it. Are you ready? Let's learn some things! STEPS INVOLVED IN DISCOVERING YOURSELF CREATE YOUR PERSONAL TIMELINE : What this means is, try to write down all your major goals that you feel you want to achieve and you have to achieve. Also write down the events in your life that h...

BELIEVE IN YOURSELF

So I was supposed to have posted this much earlier before now but my day has been stressful. Hope yours wasn't as stressful as mine? I will be talking about a simple topic today, "BELIEVE IN YOURSELF". I want to pass my WAEC and UTME once, I want to graduate from the university with first class honors, I want to do this and that. You have lots of great positive goals you want to accomplish, alongside, there is this awkward tinning voice asking you if you can actually achieve all of it, asking whether you are ready for the stress attached to it but not telling you the benefit of the end product. It happens to virtually everyone. It can often be hard to believe in yourself, especially when you feel like you have nothing to offer or you are unworthy of some things. But you are worthy and you are capable. If you are having trouble seeing all the amazing things that you can do to start believing in yourself, you can take stock of what you have accomplish...
